HISTORY

Our company is Our company is 113 years old dedicated to the Fluvial Transportation. It was founded on 1901 by Mr. Adolfo Morey Arias, who was one of the patriarchs of the Morey family in Iquitos, pioneers of the river navigation in this Region. Now directed by his fourth generation. Representing the family, Gustavo Ignacio Morey Silva, who inherit the challenge and the responsibility to direct the company like General Manager. In year 2006 “The Arca Amazon Expedition” became the commercial name. “El Arca” was acquired 25 years ago.

Octuber 2008 we start working with LATINTRAILS ecuatorian company directed by Marcel Perkins who would be in charge of the sales of our services. Together we will operate under the name of AMAZON JOURNEY AKA: EL ARCA

DESCRIPTION

“El Arca” is made of iron and its foundations of wood and iron. This ship represents what the typical Amazon boat is, since its design was inspired by the rubber period in Iquitos. It was rebuilt in 1988 and reshaped for more comfort in 2001.
The bar is attending 24 hours with varied liquors and beer you will be able to taste drinks and cocktails typical of Peru. On the third deck the M/V "El Arca" has an open deck (viewpoint), and a hall of hammocks.There you will be able to rest and enjoy the Amazonian breeze. In the prow the boat has a viewing point where you will enjoy the Amazonian sunrise and sunset.
